In anticipation of the EASA (EU) 2024/590 regulation mandating the replacement of halon extinguishers by 31 December 2025, PMV Engineering has secured a new AML-STC covering B777 and B787 aircraft.

Aptoz has developed the EASA and FAA AML STC effective for most aircraft types that allows for the installation of Collins Aerospace (Kidde) Halotron BrX handheld fire extinguishers in the cockpit and cabin.

Jet Aviation Basel has developed a plug and play in-flight dishwasher (ADW) with a 3-5 minute wash cycle that requires just 3 liters of water. The user-friendly ADW is compatible with an eco-friendly soap that can be used to clean silver and aluminum dishes.

Available in different sizes to ensure the perfect fit for all galleys, including that of the B787, the ADW utilizes a quick connection system and features a customizable front design. It is qualified for taxi, take-off and landing with up to 20 kg of dishes stored inside the dishwasher.

This EASA minor modification introduces galley insert changes following aircraft entry into service with a new operator. The purpose of the change is fleet standardization of galley equipment in accordance with the operator’s cabin configuration philosophy and catering concept.
