Aircell ST3100 Satcom System. The existing satcom system has been upgraded by the removal of a Blue Sky Network C-1000A Iridium Satellite Phone System and replaced with an Aircell ST3100 satellite telephone System at the customer’s request.
Global Availability - Communications satellites cover all land masses and there is growing capacity to serve maritime and even aeronautical markets.
Cost Effectiveness - Cost of satellite capacity does not increase with the number of users/receive sites, or with the distance between communication points.
Immediacy and Scalability - Additional receive sites, or nodes on a network, can readily be added, sometimes within hours.
Superior Reliability - Satellite communications can operate independently from terrestrial infrastructure.
•Reduced fuel burn and flight delay
•Providing efficient flight trajectories as traffic density increases
•Reduced separation standards – via reliable communication from CPDLC
