Approval of the carriage of animal handlers in a class E compartment when required for the carriage of animals. Design change has been installed onto a Boeing 737‐400 aircraft converted to a freighter by Aeronautical Engineers. In order to facilitate the carriage of animal handlers when transporting horses or other animals in a cargo aircraft, this STC activates/terminates all provisioned wiring and introduces seating on removable pallets for up to 19 animal handlers.

Handlers are able to be closely located to the animals in order to reduce stress of both animals and the handlers. Oxygen and medical supplies are provided for all of the animals and handlers whilst in transport.
