QCM design provides the EASA STC for the refurbishment of 16G passenger seating, including changes to the foam cushion dimensions and shaping, as well as the reupholstery of the seat dress covers.
It is acknowledged that dynamically certified seats have inherent upholstery design restrictions due to the role upholstery plays in the structural loading of the seat.
The change incorporates the refurbishment of the existing dynamically tested (16G) cabin passenger and crew rest area seats. The refurbishment of the seat consists of the change of the dress cover and localized modifications on the seat foam padding (backrest cushion, leg-rest cushion, bottom cushion) to achieve a new design. The change was performed in conjunction with the seats ETSO holder Collins Aerospace (B/E Aerospace).
The change to the seats improves the overall aspect of the cabin interior aesthetics and improve passenger comfortability and experience.
This modification is available, upon request, for additional aircraft types.
