Introduction

PMV Engineering achieved Flight Deck Entry Video Surveillance (FDEVSS) installation on B737 MAX.

The Flight Deck Entry Video Surveillance Systems (FDEVSS) provides internal view of the cockpit door area.  The aim of the system is to allow the flight crew to identify person(s) requesting entry to the cockpit. The system is compliant with ED123 requirements.


Your needs

The area considered is the cockpit door surrounding necessary to identify person(s) requesting entry to the cockpit and all the entry area. The images are transmitted to the pilots using existing cockpit displays (Multi-functional Displays - MFDs).


Your benefits

The FDEVSS is composed of three LRUs:

  • Main camera LRU constituted of a housing including one camera and a processing unit of the video signals from the main camera and the slave camera,
  • A slave camera LRU constituted of a housing including one camera and an interface to the main Camera LRU,
  • A control panel LRU in the cockpit constituted of a light plate and switches.
