Product Description
FANS 1/A+ provides direct data link communication between the pilot and the air traffic controller using Controller Pilot Data Link Communication (CPDLC). Satcom is the primary means of communication in the oceanic / remote regions. Primary host is the Flight Management System. FANS 1/A+ protocol is also used on a number of other over-water routes Also in Canada and Australia.
