In order to allow usage of Transmitting-Portable Electronic Devices (T-PEDs) during all phases of flight the aircraft must be Front and Back Door Coupling compliant. Front door T-PED tests are done to ensure that external antennas to the associated receiving equipment are not susceptible to radiated emissions form T-PEDs inside the aircraft. Back door T-PED tests are done to ensure that the avionics equipment are not susceptible to radiated emissions form T-PEDs.
Approval for the use and installation of T-PED, ie Streaming IFE servers, Wifi etc. during flight.
Approval for use of streaming IFE servers, Wifi etc. during flight.
