Introduction of Quinetiq Skylark 2 radar system
TCAS mandatory by EASA for aircraft for all civil turbine powered aircraft with more than 30 passenger seats (or MTOM above 15,000Kg).
System comprises of a sensor array and camera mounted in the “Heli-Tele” spherical external camera mount (part number V-33-6400-15), a cabin mounted electronic equipment rack, monitor and controller together with a standalone GPS receiver and tracking light unit mounted on the coaming panel.

- High operating frequency allows for storage of large amounts of data
- Cheap and fast method of calculating base maps when no detailed survey is required.
- Determine the velocity and displacement of other aircraft
- Penetrate mediums such as clouds, fogs, mist and snow
