Installation of a Honeywell RDR-4B Weather Radar System onto the BAe146 200 and 300 series non-EFIS aircraft. The system interfaces with a Honeywell Multi-Function Radar Display (MFRD).
· Reduce pilot fatigue: Due to the RDR-4B seeing things that other radars miss, pilots fly with better information and greater confidence.
· Lower training costs: Honeywell’s system is intuitive for younger pilots, increasing retention and making it easier and cheaper to train users.
- Improve passenger comfort: Helps avoid turbulence-related incidents, which cost airlines an average $150,000 each.
- Save money and improve on-time performance: Enables more efficient routing around weather hazards. Early adopters have reported a 50-percent reduction in lightning strikes and the costly inspections they require.
