Rockwell Collins SATCOM is one of the few leading systems that is approved to DO-178B Level D software certification to be used in flight deck applications such as FANS data link.
When you pair the SAT-6100 with our HST-2110 high-speed transceiver and appropriate end-use system, you can access text, Instant Messenger, VoIP, cell phones, VPN, secure phone, the Internet and email easily, and download applications while in flight – a task that was impossible with prior systems.
Product Description
This EASA approved modification covers upgrade of Rockwell Collins Satcom SAT-6100/-2100 dual channel Swift64 to dual channel Satcom Swift Broadband. Swift Broadband upgrade consists of:
- Replacement of existing DLNA Type A by DLNA Type F
- Replacement of existing SRT-2100 by SwiftBB upgraded SRT-2100B.
- Replacement of existing HST-2110 by SwiftBB upgraded HST-2110B
- Installation of one new high-speed configuration module HCM
- Replacement of existing CTU Aerocom 3000 by ISDN/Rev.T upgraded Aerocom 3000
- Necessary modification on coax and wires
- Rockwell Collins cabin CES/CMS software upgrade (specific for every aircraft)
-AMT-50 Antenna system is completely re-used, except of new DLNA, which is replaced by DLNA Type F.
-Originally installed wired/wireless aircraft networks are not changed and completely re-used.
-Originally installed Wi-Fi access point is not removed and completely reused with the upgraded Satcom Swift BB system.
-All AeroH/H+ channels hosted by SRT-2100 are completely reused in upgraded SRT-2100B.
-From two upgraded HSTs only one at the time is used for high-speed Satcom communications. Second HST is installed, but depowered and disconnected.
This RUAG EASA Approved modification (EASA Minor Change) is automatically approved by US FAA and Canadian TCCA in accordance with bilateral agreements FAA-EASA TIP and TCCA-EASA TIP (Technical Implementation Procedure).
