Introduction

This EASA Approved STC modification covers the Honeywell EGPWS MK V Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System installation, complying with JAR OPS 1.665 requirements. The system provides alerts and warnings for inadvertent flight into terrain (CFIT).

Product Description

Existing Sundstrand/Allied Signal GPWS Mk V System is replaced by a Honeywell EGPWS MK V System with Terrain Display capability.

This modification consists of following equipment and switch/annunciators installation:

- The existing Sundstrand/Allied Signal Mk V GPWS Computer is replaced at same position by an Honeywell  EGPWS MK V Computer which is able to provide the terrain display data to the existing Honeywell Multi Function Display and optional to the existing pilot’s and copilot’s HSI for full EGPWS display functionality.

-  two alternating TERR INOP/TERR INHIB switches are installed in the instrument panel on each pilot’s side.

- two existing separate WIND SHEAR ALERT and WIND SHEAR WARN indicators (one on the instrument panel on each pilot’s side) are replaced by a  single indicator WNDSHR ALERT/WINDSHR WARN

-  one momentary switch TERR DISPLAY is installed in the center of the instrument panel to select the Terrain Display on the Multi Function Display.

-  (optional) one momentary switch MFD TERR DISP is installed in the instrument panel.

-  (optional) one existing separate ‘GPWS TEST’ switch and one existing ‘PULL UP’ indicator on pilot’s instrument panel are replaced by a  single PULL UP / GPWS TEST switch/annunciator.

-  (optional) two momentary TERR DISP switch/annunciators are installed on the pilot’s and copilot’s instrument panel to select the terrain display at weather radar patch on the HSI displaysfor for full EGPWS display functionality.
