Introduction
Designed for aircraft equipped with digital avionics, the Mark V enhanced ground proximity warning system (EGPWS) exceeds Class A terrain awareness and warning system (TAWS) requirements and provides protection against controlled flight into terrain (CFIT) and windshear. The Mark V accepts a variety of aircraft parameters as inputs, applying proprietary alerting algorithms to provide the flight crew with aural alert messages, visual annunciations and terrain display of terrain or obstacles in the flight path.

Product Description
The Honeywell Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System, EGPWS MK VII or EGPWS MK V, is upgraded with the Honeywell RAAS - Runway Awareness and Advisory System.
This EASA Approved STC Modification consists of the following equipment and S/W installation:
- Existing EGPWS MK VII or MK V is enhanced with the RAAS - Honeywell Runway Awareness and Advisory System.
- (optional) Installation of a “RAAS Mute” switch into the instrument panel
- (optional) Installation of new wires from the Global Navigation System Sensor Units #1 and #2 to the EGPWS Computer for the receiving of ARINC 429 Label 120 & 121 (fine latitude and longitude position information).
