CMC’s Crew Information System addresses the ever increasing requirements for information sharing associated with cockpit, cabin and aircraft maintenance systems. In conjunction with CMC’s new PilotView® Aircraft Information Server, this product line delivers an integrated aircraft information management server that enables a wide range of cockpit and situational awareness applications.
RUAG EASA approved modification covers the installation of the CMC Electronics PilotView CMA-1100 Electronic Flight Bag System (EFB) in Embraer Legacy 600 aircraft.
The system is a Class 2 EFB as defined in JAA TGL No. 36 Approval of Electronic Flight Bags (EFBs).
One or two systems are installed in the flight deck. Single and dual EFB installations are covered.The single installation covers the copilot's side while the dual installation covers both pilot's and copilot's side.
Each system comprises an Electronic Display Unit (EDU) containing the processing capability and an Enhanced Expansion Module Unit (EEMU) which serves as an interface unit to the aircraft power system and the Flight Management System (FMS). The installation is similar to the PilotView EFB installation that Embraer offers on new Legacy 600 aircraft.
