EASA STC for TPED (Transmitting Portable Electronic Devices) tolerance demonstration on the following B737 aircraft:
PMV Engineering has developed a robust and painless method to minimise the amount of testing time, avoiding to disturb aircraft operations as much as possible.
This STC is a key to allow the use of wireless frequencies (Wifi) on the cabin and the flight deck.
TPED (Transmitting Portable Electronic Devices) tolerance demonstration on the B737 aircraft.
The analysis of T-Ped interference are based on ED130, DO294C and DO307 documents.
The T-PEDs usage by passengers in the cabin or by flight crew in the cockpit is limited to WIFI (IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac wireless standards 2,4GHz and 5GHz).
Other wireless connectivity standards (e.g. GSM) are not covered by this STC.
The T-PED Aircraft tolerance is planned to be demonstrated for all flight phases, including critical ones.
No equipment is installed within this STC.
