Product Description
Together with the world's leading chemical and coating manufacturer BASF, we have developed a surface technology with a barely perceptible ribbed texture of small protrusions called riblets. Applied to the fuselage and engine nacelle in the direction of airflow, the riblets optimize aerodynamics and decrease friction, which has been proven to reduce emissions and fuel consumption by around one per cent in the current expansion stage. AeroSHARK has moreover demonstrated to be resilient to all the challenging environmental conditions an aircraft is exposed to in daily operations, from high speeds to large temperature and pressure deltas via ultraviolet radiation at high altitudes to chemical substances such as deicing fluid on the ground.
