Overview
Introduction
The EFB Solution for iPad® is a very interesting and cost effective way to introduce an installed classified EFB in your cockpit. An EFB is a physical device containing hardware and software that carries flight documentation. The EFB is used by the flight crew on the flight deck during their duties. Fokker Services’ EFB modification has already been installed in more than 1300 aircraft amongst different aircraft types. Our EFB installation is ticking all the boxes and is available for most aircraft types, including Airbus, Boeing, ATR, Bombardier Challenger & CRJ Family, Embraer, Fokker and others. We can support you with all hardware for your power supply (USB-A and USB-C) and iPad mount (adjustable and pivot mount), our product includes an Engineering Bulletin and all related supplements.
Your needs
The EFB solution for iPad® is EASA certified and requires no expensive ICT infrastructure. Easy installation ensures aircraft can be converted with very limited downtime at a cost that is incomparable to anything else on the market. Our modification contains a secure and ergonomic mount for the device and integration with aircraft power supply. Prior to installation of this design change it will be determined that the interrelationship between this design change and any other previously installed design change and/or repair will have no adverse effect upon the airworthiness of the product. Our EFB solution for iPad® has been developed and tested with the pilot in mind. It is mobile, user friendly and most of all personal to its owner.

Product Description
MOUNT
The mount installation is designed to be used with a wide selection of iPad® models, and to provide the customer a future-proof solution. Therefore, Fokker Services has two different holder solutions available for your aircraft type. Estimated installation time is approximately 35 man hours and is the responsibility of the operator.
Adjustable mount: the mount installation is designed to be used with a wide selection of iPad® models, and to provide the customer a future-proof solution. Therefore, Fokker Services offers a unique universal design that allows the installation of several iPad® models.
Note: Limited to maximum iPad 11 inch (excluding the iPad pro 11 inch M4). To be used without an iPad case.
PIVOT mount: Fokker Services offers the provisions for PIVOT Case® installation that allows the installation of several iPad® models.
This pivot mount adapter, together with a PIVOT case, allows a fast and easy installation of an iPad®. The PIVOT Case is made specific for an iPad® model and is supposed to stay with the iPad®. Therefore, like the iPad®, the PIVOT case is considered as loose equipment and not part of the modification kit. The PIVOT case can be acquired by https://pivotcase.com or www.flyboys.com.

POWER SUPPLY
USB-A: this modification installs full provisions for the installation of two USB receptacles (portable, Type B, 5V, 2.1A) in the cockpit including power supply by means of a DC to DC converter. The modification contains a modification kit for the installation of 2 USB receptacles including power supply, the Engineering Bulletin (EB) for certified installation and four (4) hours of Engineering support. Estimated installation time is 20 man hours and is the responsibility of the operator.
USB-C: the power supply is designed to charge a variety of portable electronic devices at high speed. The charger comes with a smart converter and USB-C type outlet, which are capable of charging with the following USB protocols: Power Delivery 3.0, Quick Charge 4.0, Apple Charge 2.4, Adaptive Fast Charge, Battery Charging 1.2, and other legacy protocols. The charger communicates with the device, over the cable, to select the highest possible charging protocol the device can handle, without user input. The power supply supports charging on USB-C up to 60W. Additionally, the power supply is capable to charge other USB devices, such as non-USB-C based iPads, at their highest possible input. This modification installs full provisions for the installation of two USB-C outlets in the cockpit including power supply by means of the smart converter.
